Verdict up front: XerciseUp is one of the best free mock-test libraries in Bangladesh. It has a large bank of computer-based tests, a thoughtful "Locate and Explain" review, and analytics that point at weak areas. We rate it 7.5/10.
Our top pick for the daily work between mocks is IELTSbiz, which never runs out of passages and names the exact trap behind every wrong answer.
What is XerciseUp?
XerciseUp (xerciseup.com) is an online IELTS practice platform from Bangladesh, which it calls the largest in the country. Its homepage states 100+ computer-based IELTS mock tests, and separately lists 130+ Academic tests, 20+ General Training tests and 5,000+ questions.
The two figures are its own and are stated separately. It also runs courses, masterclasses and a study-abroad counselling service for admissions, scholarships and financial planning, with a free consultation. It says 15,000 students use its free services.
What does XerciseUp do well?
Computer-based format. Side-by-side passage and questions, a question palette to jump around, and timing that matches the real computer test. Practising in the format you will sit removes a whole category of test-day mistakes.
Locate and Explain. After a test you find the answer in the passage and explain why you chose it. That is a genuinely good habit, because it forces you to look for evidence rather than guess.
Analytics. XerciseUp Analytics tracks your band, time spent and weak areas against a target band you set. That is more than most free libraries offer.
Volume, free. A large bank of full mocks costs nothing, which matters in a market where coaching is expensive.
Where does XerciseUp stop?
A fixed library. Even a big bank runs out, and a test you half-remember inflates your score in exactly the direction you do not want before a booked test.
Explanations, not a named trap. Seeing the right answer and its location is useful. Knowing which kind of distractor fooled you (a scope word, a synonym swap, a true-but-unstated inference) is what stops it happening again.
Weak areas, not 11 separate bands. "Weak areas" points in the right direction; a band tracked for each reading question type tells you how far behind each one is, and whether it is catching up.
Verdict: 7.5/10
XerciseUp earns 7.5/10: generous, realistic, well designed, and locally supported. It loses points only where every fixed library does.
Our top pick: IELTSbiz
Disclosure: IELTSbiz is our platform, and Bangladesh is where more of our learners come from than anywhere else. Here is why we rank it first for daily practice:
- It never repeats. Every Cambridge-style passage is generated fresh, so a score always measures reading skill, not memory.
- Every miss is named. Each wrong answer is labelled with one of six traps (Partial Truth, Extreme Language, Opposite Meaning, Outside Text, Distractor Word or Temporal Confusion) and shown beside the line of the passage that settles it.
- Eleven reading bands. Your estimated band is tracked for each question type over time, so "Reading is weak" becomes "Matching Headings is at 5.5", which you can fix.
- Writing and Speaking marked free every month. The Writing Checker quotes your sentence behind every correction; the Speaking test marks all three parts; a live mock puts you with a real person from our team.
- Priced for Bangladesh. Free to start with no card, Pro from $7.99/month or $50 lifetime, and you can pay with bKash on our pricing page.

The best routine using both
Sit a XerciseUp mock every week or two to rehearse the computer format and get a baseline. On the other days, spend twenty minutes on IELTSbiz drilling the reading question type your mocks keep flagging, and write one marked essay a week.
