How it works

Three steps, one real conversation

  1. Step 1

    Pick a time

Choose from the open times below, shown in your own time zone. Tell us what you want feedback on.

  2. Step 2

    Take the interview

Join the call. Part 1 about you, a Part 2 cue card with a minute to prepare, then a Part 3 discussion.

  3. Step 3

    Get your feedback

Within 24 hours: a band for each criterion, notes on each part, and the fixes that would move your band most.

Why a person

Practise daily with AI. Rehearse the real thing with a person.

Our AI-marked interview is the right tool for daily practice. But the Speaking test is a conversation, and some of what decides your band only shows up with a real listener in front of you.

  • Real follow-up questionsA person picks up on what you said and asks about it — the part rehearsed answers fall apart on.
  • Pronunciation, actually heardStress, rhythm and intonation judged by a listener, not estimated from a transcript.
  • Nerves, before test dayFifteen minutes of real pressure is the best rehearsal for the room you will sit in.

Example feedback

Illustration
BAND6.5

Estimated Band 6.5

Fluent in Part 2; Part 3 answers stop too soon.

  • Fluency & Coherence6.5

Keeps going in Part 2, but pauses to search for words in Part 3.

  • Lexical Resource6.5

Good topic words; paraphrases when stuck.

  • Grammatical Range & Accuracy6

Mostly simple sentences; tense slips when talking about the past.

  • Pronunciation7

Clear and easy to follow; some flat intonation.

Top fix: in Part 3, give a reason and an example before you stop.

Questions

Who runs the session?
A member of the IELTSbiz team. They run the interview the way the test is run and mark you against the public IELTS Speaking band descriptors — the same four criteria an examiner uses.
Is this the official IELTS test?
No. It is a practice mock, and the band you get is an estimate of where you are now, not an official result. Its job is to show you, before test day, what an examiner will hear.
What happens in the 15 minutes?
Part 1: questions about you and everyday topics (about 4 minutes). Part 2: a cue card, one minute to prepare and up to two minutes to speak. Part 3: a discussion that takes the Part 2 topic further (about 4 minutes).
When do I get my feedback?
Within 24 hours, on this page and by email: a band for each of the four criteria with comments, notes on each part, and the changes that would move your band most.
How much does it cost?
One session is from $3, with no subscription — the exact price for your country is shown when you sign in. Pro includes 1 live session every month, and Pro members can buy extra sessions at the same per-session price once theirs is used.
Do bought sessions expire?
No. A session you buy waits in your account until you book a time.
Can I change my booking?
Yes — cancel up to 12 hours before and the session goes back into your account, whether it was included in Pro or bought, so you can book another time.
What if I’m late or can’t join?
We send a reminder the day before and an hour before. Please join on time: your examiner waits 5 minutes, and after that the session counts as used. If you can’t make it, cancel at least 12 hours before and it comes back to you.
What if my examiner doesn’t join?
From 10 minutes after the start, press “My examiner didn’t join” on this page. We check straight away, and if we missed it, your session comes back — usually with an extra one on us.
What do I need?
A quiet room, headphones, a stable connection and a pen for your Part 2 notes. The join link (Google Meet or Zoom) comes in your confirmation email.
