The instructor's credentials are unusually strong for the price point: an MS in English from the University of Oxford, BA and MA in English from the University of Dhaka, and a personal IELTS band of 8.5.
That matters less for Listening tactics and more for Writing and Speaking, where the difference between a teacher who has scored Band 8.5 and one who has not shows up immediately in the model answers.
What does the course do well?
It removes format confusion fast. Most Bangladeshi candidates lose their first two weeks simply learning what the test is: how many sections, what "Not Given" means, why Task 1 Academic is a description and not an opinion. Hearing that in Bangla compresses two weeks into two evenings.
Nothing on the English-language internet does that job as efficiently for a Bangla-first learner.
The Writing instruction is the best part. Task 2 structure, paragraph roles, how the four criteria are actually applied — this is the area where a recorded lecture genuinely substitutes for a teacher, because the content is stable and does not depend on your individual essay.
If you have never been taught what "Task Response" means as opposed to "Grammar", the course fixes that permanently.
Lifetime access changes the maths. A one-off fee you can return to before a retake, two years later, is worth considerably more than a subscription you cancel after the exam. For candidates who may sit the test twice, the effective price halves.
Doubt-solving sessions and the group. Self-study fails on motivation more often than on material. A cohort, even a loose Facebook one, keeps more people studying in week six than a better-designed solo product does.
Where does the course stop?
Everything below is structural to recorded courses, not a criticism of this one — and the course itself does not claim otherwise.
Around 10 mocks is a fortnight, not a preparation. Sit two a week and you are out of material before the end of the first month.
Worse, re-sitting a mock you remember inflates your score by two or three marks through recognition, which quietly convinces you that you are ready when you are not. This is the most common way a good course produces a disappointing test day.
Nothing marks your Writing. Watching a Band 8 essay explained is not the same as learning that your own Task Response sits a band below your Grammatical Range. Model answers show you the destination; only marking shows you your distance from it.
Candidates routinely watch every Writing lecture, write six essays, and never once find out what those six essays would have scored.
Nothing measures your Reading by question type. A mock gives you one Reading band.
It does not tell you that your True/False/Not Given is at Band 8 while Matching Headings sits at 5.5 — which is the single most actionable fact in your whole preparation, because half a band in Reading is usually two or three marks concentrated in one question type.
Speaking cannot be practised by watching. The course explains what examiners reward. Fluency is a motor skill; it moves only by speaking under a timer and hearing yourself back.
Is the 10 Minute School IELTS course enough for Band 7?
For most people, honestly, no — not on its own, and the reason is arithmetic rather than quality. Band 7 in Reading means roughly 30 of 40 marks.
Getting from 24 to 30 means finding six marks, and those six marks live in specific question types you can only identify by measuring them separately. A course that ends with one overall mock band cannot point at them.
What the course reliably does is take a candidate from "I do not understand this test" to "I understand this test and my mock says Band 6". That is the hardest and most valuable step, and it is worth ৳5,000 by itself.

A realistic eight-week plan around the course
