Verdict up front: IELTS.gg, now renamed GoPrep, is a polished all-in-one AI platform with mocks in all four sections, an AI tutor, an adaptive study plan and some genuinely fun practice games. Full access is a paid subscription, and the headline guarantee comes with strict conditions.
We rate it 7/10. For most candidates our top pick is IELTSbiz: you can start free on all four papers, and it tells you exactly which reading question type is costing you marks.
If you searched for "ielts.gg" and landed on goprep.gg, you are in the right place. The site redirects, and the company's own policies now call the service "GoPrep (formerly IELTS.GG)". This review covers what the platform does, what it costs, what the guarantee really requires, and where we think a candidate gets more for less.
What is IELTS.gg (GoPrep)?
GoPrep is an AI-based preparation platform for IELTS Academic and General Training, built by Aleem Labs.
Its homepage describes it as "7 tools in one": a study plan, mock tests covering all four sections, detailed feedback, statistics, games, vocabulary and an exam mode, held together by an AI tutor it calls Preppy AI.
The interface is available in English, Russian, Uzbek, Arabic, Turkish, Kazakh and Indonesian, which tells you where its audience is. Its homepage says it is backed by 700,000+ users and partnered with IDP IELTS in Kazakhstan, and it states plainly that its materials are not official IELTS materials.
What does GoPrep actually give you?
AI Writing and Speaking feedback
Its App Store listing says Writing is graded across the four criteria, with a band estimate, grammar corrections and vocabulary suggestions. Speaking is analysed for fluency, pace, pauses and filler words with a band breakdown, using a three-part AI practice partner. The homepage promises Speaking feedback "in under a minute".
An adaptive study plan
Tell it your target score and exam date and it builds a day-by-day plan weighted towards your weakest skills. For candidates who struggle with what to do each day rather than how to do it, this is the most valuable part of the product.
Games and free tools
Three games (IELTS Runner, Speak or Die and Speaking Challenge) plus free calculators, a score converter and topic generators for Speaking and Writing. They are well made and genuinely free, and they make a good first impression.
How much does IELTS.gg cost in 2026?
| Plan (US App Store) | Price (as of October 2026) | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Free sign-up | Free | Games, calculators and topic generators; full preparation is paid |
| Premium Monthly | $19.49 | The listing still names it "IELTS.GG Premium" |
| Premium Quarterly | $26.99 | The best value if you have a booked test date |
| Premium Yearly | $74.99 | Only worth it if you expect to retake |
| Master Prep Tool | $23.99 | A one-off in-app purchase |
The website does not publish a pricing page; plans appear inside the sign-up flow and can differ by region and promotion. When we checked in September 2026, its refund policy offered a full refund within 14 days of the first payment.
The score guarantee, read in full
The homepage headline is a "Double result guarantee": raise your score, or get a refund and your retake covered.
The binding terms are on a separate guarantee page, and as of 13 October 2026 they say you get 100% of your subscription back if your overall band does not rise by at least 1.0, provided you meet every one of these conditions:
- An official Test Report Form with an overall band of 6.5 or lower, issued within 3 months before you subscribe, and uploaded within 7 days.
- A continuous paid subscription of at least 90 days.
- Every task on the platform's Success Checklist completed.
- At least 12 mock exams per section: 12 Listening, 12 Reading, 12 Writing and 12 Speaking.
- At least 30 Writing tasks and 30 Speaking sessions with AI feedback.
- Your retake sat within 60 days after the subscription ends, and the claim made within 30 days of that exam.
Two details matter. The terms say refunds are limited to the subscription cost and do not cover official exam fees, so "cover your retake" on the homepage should be read alongside them.
And the guarantee is tied to your overall band only, not to the one skill you may be trying to fix. None of this makes it a bad offer, since the conditions describe a serious study programme, but it is not a safety net for a casual user.
IELTS.gg pros and cons
Pros: broad coverage of all four skills in one app; a genuinely useful adaptive daily plan; quick AI feedback on Writing and Speaking; strong free extras (games, calculators, topic generators); seven interface languages.
Cons: full access is subscription-only; no public pricing page on the website; the guarantee has demanding eligibility rules; and, like every AI scorer we know of, it publishes no study validating its bands against human examiners.
Feedback is organised by skill, not by reading question type, so it can tell you Reading is weak without telling you which of the 11 types is the leak.
Verdict: 7/10
GoPrep earns a solid 7/10. It is one of the most complete AI packages in the category, and if you want one paid app to plan your days and score your essays, it does the job.
It loses points on cost of entry, on the small print behind its biggest promise, and on reading diagnosis, the area where most candidates quietly lose the half band they need.
Our top pick: IELTSbiz
Disclosure first: IELTSbiz is our own platform, so weigh this section with that in mind. We rank it first because of three things we can show you, not because of adjectives.
1. You can start properly for free. Every paper is free within an allowance, with no card: reading and listening every day, and writing and speaking marked against the official criteria every month. The allowance never drops to zero. GoPrep keeps full preparation behind a subscription.
2. Reading is diagnosed, not just scored. IELTSbiz generates a fresh Cambridge-style passage every session, names the trap behind every wrong answer (Partial Truth, Extreme Language, Opposite Meaning, Outside Text and more) and shows the line of the passage that settles it.
It then tracks your estimated band for each of the 11 reading question types, so "Reading is my weak skill" becomes "Matching Headings is my weak type", which is something you can actually fix this week.
3. The marking shows its working. The Writing Checker marks all four criteria separately and quotes your own sentence behind every correction. The overall band is computed in code, not guessed.
We do not offer a guarantee and we label every Writing and Speaking band an estimate, because we would rather show the evidence than make a promise with conditions attached.
When you want the whole exam, there are full 40-question Reading tests under a 60-minute clock, Listening Parts 1–4 played once, a full three-part Speaking test, a guided four-skill mock, and a live Speaking mock with a real person from our team.
Pro removes the limits from $7.99/month or $50 lifetime, which is less than half of GoPrep's monthly price.

Who should choose what?
Choose GoPrep if you want one paid app that plans every day for you, you like a gamified routine, and you have a starting score of 6.5 or lower plus the discipline to complete its checklist, in which case the guarantee is a real bonus.
Choose IELTSbiz if you want to start today without paying, your Reading band has stalled and you need to know why, or you want marking that shows the sentence behind every point it takes.
That describes most of the candidates we hear from, and it is why IELTSbiz is our first recommendation. The full feature-by-feature comparison is on our IELTS.gg alternative page.
