Short answer: Gurully is an Indian mock-test platform, strongest in PTE, whose IELTS section became fully AI-scored on 24 September 2026.
You get one free scored mock test; Prime access then costs BDT 300 for 7 days up to BDT 1,200 for 60 days in Bangladesh (as of October 2026), never auto-renewing. Strong for volume, weaker for diagnosis.
Verdict up front: Gurully is one of the cheapest ways to sit a lot of timed IELTS mocks in the computer format, and its 2026 rebuild added real substance - a new question bank, instant scoring and a dashboard broken down by question type.
It loses points because its IELTS AI marking is brand new and unvalidated in public, its Speaking mock is recorded rather than live, and re-buying a plan wipes your history. Our score: 7/10.
Full disclosure before we start: IELTSbiz is our own platform, and we recommend it as the alternative at the end. Every fact about Gurully below comes from Gurully's own pages and announcements, checked on 5 October 2026; strengths come first; and what we quote from forums is labelled as user reports.

What is Gurully?
Gurully is an online mock-test platform for English proficiency exams, run by Gurully Technologies LLP from Ahmedabad, India. One account covers PTE Academic and PTE Core, IELTS Academic and General Training, the Duolingo English Test and CELPIP.
Its heritage is PTE: the summary file Gurully publishes for AI systems calls PTE "Gurully's primary and most developed exam offering," and most independent discussion of Gurully on Reddit and Trustpilot is about PTE, not IELTS.
Its users are concentrated in South Asia. Gurully names India, Nepal, Pakistan and the Philippines alongside Australia and Canada as its main markets, prices primarily in Indian rupees, and also supports Nepalese and Pakistani rupees, Bangladeshi taka and US dollars. Support runs by phone and WhatsApp on an Indian number, which suits that audience well.
One label is worth decoding. Gurully's homepage displays an "Official IDP IELTS Partner since 2025" badge, while the same site states that Gurully "is an independent test preparation service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or otherwise connected to" IDP, Cambridge or the British Council.
We could not confirm the partnership independently, so treat the badge as Gurully's own claim - and either way, not as a sign that Gurully's mocks or scores are official IELTS material.
What changed at Gurully IELTS in 2026
Gurully rebuilt its IELTS product in three steps over two months. If you read about Gurully anywhere else, check the date against this table.
| Date | What changed |
|---|---|
| 6 August 2026 | Rebuilt IELTS platform: new interface and question bank, 30+ mock tests, 80+ sectional tests, and a dashboard showing trends across attempts, accuracy by question type and time per task |
| 11 September 2026 | AI chat inside the IELTS section, downloadable Speaking recordings, AI Writing evaluation, and a Cambridge filter for mock tests |
| 24 September 2026 | All four sections AI-scored, with instant results and a criterion-by-criterion report |
The practical consequence: most of what you will read about Gurully's IELTS marking is out of date. Before the update, Gurully's own pricing table listed IELTS results as arriving "within 24-48 hours," and its September announcement contrasts the new system with "waiting on a human evaluator's schedule."
Reviews or forum comments describing expert-marked IELTS Writing and Speaking on Gurully describe the old system. The AI marking you would buy today was less than two weeks old when we wrote this review.
How much does Gurully IELTS cost in 2026?
| Plan length | Price in Bangladesh | Cost per day |
|---|---|---|
| 7 days | BDT 300 | About BDT 43 |
| 15 days | BDT 500 | About BDT 33 |
| 30 days | BDT 800 | About BDT 27 |
| 60 days | BDT 1,200 | BDT 20 |
Gurully shows prices in the visitor's local currency, so what you see depends on where you are.
The taka prices above are the ones its pricing page served us; we could not view the rupee or dollar listings from our location, and we do not publish prices we have not read, so check gurully.com/pricing before you budget.
All four plans unlock the same IELTS content - only the length differs - and the IELTS plans are cheaper than Gurully's PTE plans on the same page.
Two policies on the same page matter more than the sticker price:
- No auto-renewal. Gurully's FAQ says it "does not auto-renew your Prime Membership after its validity is over" and does not store your card details. When a plan ends, it simply ends - a genuinely buyer-friendly policy.
- Re-buying wipes your history. The same FAQ says that when you re-purchase a plan, "all your previous test attempts and data are erased and refreshed, allowing you to re-attempt the tests from the beginning." That is handy for retaking tests, but it also means the trend lines on your dashboard start again from zero each time you buy a new block. Note your section scores before a plan ends if you want a long-run record.
Put those together and the sensible pattern is clear: take the free mock first for a baseline, then buy a single 60-day block - the cheapest per day, and one unbroken history - timed to end close to your test date.
Is the Gurully IELTS mock test free?
Partly. You get one free full-length IELTS mock test when you sign up - Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking, all scored, for Academic or General Training - with no card required.
The free column of Gurully's pricing table lists "Only 1" scored mock test plus a small allowance of AI scoring tokens (five Speaking a day and three Writing in total), though the table does not say which exam those tokens apply to.
Everything else, including the other mocks and the sectional tests, needs Prime.
One free mock is enough to see the interface and get a baseline band. If you need more free practice than that, our list of free IELTS practice tests online covers sources that do not cap you at one, and the IELTSbiz free online IELTS test lets you start without signing up for anything.
How a Gurully IELTS mock test works
- Create a free account and open the IELTS section, choosing Academic or General Training.
- Pick a test. Choose a full mock or a sectional test; the Cambridge filter shows mocks built to follow the Cambridge IELTS book format.
- Take Listening, Reading and Writing on screen, under time limits, with typing and the on-screen tools of the computer-delivered test.
- Record your Speaking answers through your microphone or headset; you can download the recordings afterwards and replay them.
- Read the report: a band for each section, an overall band and a criterion breakdown for Writing and Speaking, delivered as soon as you finish.
- Ask the AI chat about any answer, question type or score from inside the practice screen.
You need a desktop or laptop with a reliable connection, a microphone and an up-to-date Chrome browser; nothing to install. Gurully's phone apps are aimed at PTE practice, so plan to sit IELTS mocks on a computer - which is the right habit anyway.
That habit matters more than it used to. IELTS has been computer-delivered only since 27 June 2026, when paper-based IELTS ended, so a mock that copies the on-screen format is rehearsing the real thing. Our computer-delivered IELTS tips cover the interface habits worth building in any mock, Gurully's included.
How Gurully scores IELTS - and what AI scoring can't rehearse
Listening and Reading are scored by counting correct answers and converting the raw score to a band, the same principle the real test uses, so those bands are as trustworthy as the questions are realistic. Writing and Speaking are now scored by AI against the IELTS criteria.
Gurully's FAQ says the four section scores are averaged to give your overall band.
The official rule adds a rounding step - an average ending in .25 rounds up to the next half band, and one ending in .75 rounds up to the next whole band - which you can check with our band score calculator.
The bigger limit is in Speaking. Record-and-submit speaking is a format where you answer on-screen prompts into a microphone and software scores the recording afterwards. It is excellent for volume, and downloading your recordings to hear your own fillers and pauses is a genuinely good addition.
But the real IELTS Speaking test is an 11-14 minute conversation with an examiner who reacts to what you say, stops you when Part 2 reaches its limit and pushes you in Part 3 with follow-up questions you cannot predict.
A recording cannot rehearse that interaction, and pronunciation judged by software from audio is an estimate. Our guide to how IELTS Speaking is scored explains what examiners actually listen for.
Is Gurully's IELTS scoring accurate?
For Listening and Reading, accuracy mostly depends on how close the questions are to the real test, and the August rebuild was aimed squarely at that. For Writing and Speaking, nobody can say yet.
Gurully's IELTS page calls its scoring "accurate" and its summary for AI systems says its predictions align with official results, but it publishes no IELTS validation method or data - and the IELTS AI marking only went live on 24 September 2026.
The independent evidence that exists is about PTE, and it is mixed.
On Reddit's PTE communities, some test-takers report Gurully mock scores within a few points of their real result, while others report real scores well above their mocks - one user reported 71 on Gurully and 86 in the real exam.
PTE is a largely machine-scored test on a different scale, so even consistently good PTE reports would not transfer to IELTS Writing and Speaking.
The practical way to use any mock band, Gurully's or ours: trust the Listening and Reading bands most, treat Writing and Speaking bands as a range rather than a point, and calibrate those two once against a human - a teacher-marked essay and a speaking mock with a real person.
What Gurully users report
Independent IELTS-specific reviews of Gurully are scarce, which is itself worth knowing. As of 5 October 2026 its Trustpilot page shows 23 reviews and a TrustScore of 4.1 out of 5, mostly five-star, with roughly a quarter at one star.
Most reviews concern PTE or do not name an exam; the one clearly about IELTS, from June 2026, is positive but predates the switch to AI marking. The themes across Trustpilot and Reddit, all user reports we have not verified:
- Realism and interface - reviewers praise mocks that feel close to the real computer-based exam and an interface that is easy to use.
- Feedback and support - several mention detailed feedback and quick help from named support staff.
- Price and short plans - Reddit users mention choosing Gurully because a one-week plan was cheap enough to buy just for the final mock phase.
- Score alignment - mixed, as described above, with some PTE users close to their real score and others far below it.
- Complaints - the one-star reviews describe technical glitches, slow support, refused refunds for unused time, and one reviewer says their account was deactivated after they complained.
On refunds, Gurully at least is consistent: its terms state a "strict ZERO REFUND POLICY," say validity starts the moment you buy and unused days are not carried forward, and bar switching to a different exam's package after purchase.
The same terms say your account cannot be deleted once you have taken the free mock or bought a plan - worth knowing before you sign up.
Gurully's own IELTS page carries plenty of testimonials from candidates in India, Nepal and Peru. Those are selected by the company, so read them as marketing rather than evidence.
Gurully IELTS pros and cons
Pros

- Volume - 30+ full mocks and 80+ sectional tests after the August rebuild
- Computer-format realism, including typing and on-screen tools
- Useful extras - instant results, a Cambridge filter, AI chat and downloadable Speaking recordings

Cons

- Recorded Speaking only - no live conversation with an examiner-style partner
- History resets - re-buying a plan erases previous attempts and data
- Zero refunds - the clock starts at purchase and unused days are lost
- PTE-first product - IELTS is the newer, less-reviewed side of the platform

Who is Gurully IELTS best for?
Gurully suits a candidate who already knows the test and needs mileage: someone in India, Nepal, Pakistan or Bangladesh who wants to sit several full timed mocks in the computer format, cheaply, in the last month or two before test day.
It also suits anyone still choosing between IELTS and PTE, because one account covers both - our comparison of IELTS vs PTE Academic helps with that decision, and Canada-bound candidates should also weigh PTE Core against IELTS General Training.
It suits you less if your problem is diagnosis - you keep scoring 6 in Reading and do not know which trap keeps catching you - or if Speaking nerves are your weak point and you need to practise with a person.
If you are comparing Indian platforms more broadly, our guide to the best IELTS preparation websites in India sets Gurully's category in context.
Verdict: 7/10
Gurully earns its 7 as a mock-test engine. The price is excellent, the no-renewal policy is honest, the free mock is a real one, and the 2026 rebuild turned its IELTS side into a serious product with instant results and question-type accuracy.
The missing three points are about trust and depth: the IELTS AI marking is too new to have any public track record, Speaking cannot rehearse a live examiner, and the history wipe on re-purchase works against the progress tracking the dashboard is built to show.
Use it for volume and timing; get your diagnosis and your Speaking rehearsal somewhere that shows its working.
The best alternative: IELTSbiz
Full disclosure: IELTSbiz is our own platform, so weigh this section accordingly. Gurully is built for volume and speed: plenty of timed mocks, cheap access and instant scores. IELTSbiz is built for measurement - finding out why you lose marks and whether the fix is working.
Every claim below is something you can check on the free tier.
- Trap-level feedback in Reading. Every wrong answer is traced to the trap behind it - a paraphrase you missed, or a distractor built from words in the passage - not just the correct letter. Gurully's dashboard shows accuracy by question type; IELTSbiz also tracks an estimated band for each question type over time, so you can see which format is holding your score down.
- Full tests in the computer format. A full 40-question Reading test, Listening practice and a guided four-skill mock.
- A Writing Checker that shows its working. The Writing Checker marks the four criteria separately, computes the overall band in code, and quotes your sentence in every correction.
- A live Speaking mock with a real person. Our live Speaking mock is 15 minutes, Parts 1 to 3, with a member of the IELTSbiz team over Google Meet or Zoom, marked against the public IELTS band descriptors, with written feedback on all four criteria within 24 hours. It costs from $3 a session, or one a month is included with Pro, and you can cancel up to 12 hours before. It is practice: the band is an estimate, not an official result.
- History that stays. Your practice record stays on your account when you renew or change plan, so your per-type trends keep building.
IELTSbiz is free to start with no card. Pro is from $7.99/month, $19.99 for 3 months or from $50 lifetime (see pricing); the free trial does not include a live Speaking session.
