Yes, and I think social media is a big part of the reason. People now get their news from dozens of sources, some reliable and some completely made up, and it's not always easy to tell the difference. On top of that, algorithms tend to show us stories that confirm what we already believe, which makes everyone more suspicious of anything that challenges their views. I think the solution has to start in schools. Young people need to learn how to check a source before they share something.
