One goal I'm working towards is completing a master's degree abroad, ideally in public health. I first started thinking about it seriously about a year ago, after volunteering at a rural clinic during my summer break. I was shocked by how many illnesses there could have been prevented with basic information about hygiene and nutrition. That experience made me realise that I'm more interested in preventing problems than treating them. To get there, I need a high score in my English test, of course, which is partly why I'm practising now. I'm also saving up, because studying overseas is extremely expensive, and I'm researching scholarships. It's a long-term plan, and there are days when it feels completely out of reach. But it matters to me because I'd like to come back and help set up programmes in communities like the one I visited. That's what keeps me going.
